INT201

Isolated USB Transceiver Module

The INT201 is a fully isolated USB↔Serial transceiver for USB-UART, USB-RS485, and USB-RS232 data conversion. A 1 kV isolation barrier protects the host PC from the serial side, while a simple DIP switch selects the active channel, making it a safe, plug-and-play bridge between a computer and LiBat devices.

Overview

The INT201 is a compact, fully isolated bridge between a USB host and serial devices. A single board converts USB to UART, RS485, or RS232, selected with an on-board DIP switch, while a 1 kV isolation barrier keeps the PC electrically separated from the serial side to avoid ground loops and protect against transients. It enumerates as a plug-and-play USB device with a universal PC driver, exposes ESD-protected outputs, and provides isolated 5V and ground for the serial side. Status LEDs confirm any UART activity, and a small, cuttable PCB lets the board be trimmed to fit tight installations.

The INT201 is a fully isolated USB↔Serial transceiver designed for USB-UART, USB-RS485, and USB-RS232 data converting purposes. The serial mode is selected with an on-board DIP switch — RS232, RS485, or UART (TTL, 3.3–5V) — and the board exposes RS485 A/B lines with a termination jumper, RS232 transmit/receive, UART transmit/receive, and isolated 5V and ground outputs on a single connector. A 1 kV isolation barrier separates the USB host from the serial side, and the outputs are ESD protected for dependable field use. Connection is over a USB-C (USB 2.0) port, and the INT201 enumerates as a plug-and-play USB device using a universal PC driver — no special driver is needed, though the supplied driver can be installed if a computer does not recognize the board. Two status LEDs (through-hole and surface-mount) indicate activity. The board measures 59.6 × 50.8 mm and includes a cutout line so it can be trimmed down to 25 × 50.8 mm for space-constrained designs; only the marked mounting holes should be used, with plastic nuts and bolts recommended.
